Terra Vaughn

My name is Terra Vaughn, and I have worked at St. Paul’s Preschool for years. I began as a Three Year Old teacher in 2004, and then became the 5 Day Pre-K head teacher. I eventually had my own children and stayed home for a few years with them, returning to St. Paul’s during the pandemic in 2020 as a teacher of a mixed-age class of Three-Five Year Olds. I’ve been a St. Paul’s substitute for the last couple of years, and now I’ve joined the adventurous world of the Two Day Twos. I’ve been married to my husband James for 21 years, and our daughters, London and Ireland, are 12 and 13 years old. James and I both finished our college educations at U of L and decided to stay in Louisville after we married. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and James is a mechanical engineer for the U.S. Navy. He has recently accepted the Pastor’s position at our church. We love to travel, spend time with friends, and work as Bible class teachers. I enjoy helping children learn and grow, create opportunities for them to discover new things about their world, and to help them explore their interests. I love encouraging them to find out about their own abilities. I look forward to spending this new school year getting to know our new St. Paul’s families!
