Hi! My name is Amy Pace and I am SO excited to join the team at St. Paul’s as a Co-Teacher for the Two Year Olds! I am a Bellarmine graduate with a Theatre Arts background. During my summers, I worked as a YMCA counselor where I discovered how empathy, attention, inclusion and kind guidance made such a difference to a child. After working in various fields from braille transcription to aircraft maintenance, I decided to go back to my first joy – working with children. In 2024, I obtained my RBT certification and began working with children and young adults with Autism. Connecting with and advocating for them has become a passion of mine.
Working as a support person/substitute in childcare centers across Louisville, has given me the opportunity to connect and collaborate with two-year-olds and up, as a co-learner in their daily activities. I find that all children have the need to be seen, heard and valued. The early years of a child’s life are so vitally important, that awareness, insight and not taking anything for granted is the necessary mindset I apply every morning. The result is mutual trust, compassion and love.
I enjoy running at the park, playing board games, baking and trying to duplicate my favorite Indian dishes. I also love working on home repair and remodeling projects with my husband Karl. But most of all, being able to connect with kids on their level brings me such joy!
